Mission Statement: Teams of Innovative Problem Solvers (TIPS) is a non-profit that supports groups of children in problem solving competitions, such as FIRST and Odyssey of the MInd. TIPS provides instruction in leadership, management, mechanical design of robots, programming, graphic design and animation, 3-D Modeling, improvisation, story telling and music composition. TIPS sponsors teams and seeks to provide material supports for teams to cover the costs of participation fees, materials, equipment, space rentals, travel costs and other costs associated with the team.
Vision Statement: Teams of Innovative Problem Solvers (TIPS) hopes to produce world class problem solving teams of Vermont kids that qualify for national and international competitions to showcase their solutions and to start innovative businesses. TIPS seeks to retain team members by providing year-round opportunities. TIPS strives to promote a culture of problem solving and to develop leadership opportunities by supporting teams from k-12, so that older students can mentor younger students.
